6th, 7th and 8th GRADE MIDDLE SCHOOL FAITH FORMATION
All 6th, 7th and 8th graders are invited to grow in their faith through our exciting and interactive middle school programming. We will cover the major areas of Catholic formation during these years as students study God, Revelation and Faith, Jesus the Christ, The Holy Spirit and the Church, Liturgy and Sacraments, Christian Morality and Justice, and Prayer. Youth will be encouraged to apply what they learn to their daily lives and will discuss how their faith is being lived out. Besides “class” sessions youth are encouraged to participate in weekly liturgies, youth ministry, and service opportunities offered throughout the year.

All three grades will meet on the first available Wednesday of the month for Faith Formation. On the other Wednesdays of the month, they are invited to attend Youth Ministry Nights in the Youth Room! We will have something 3-4 Wednesdays per month available for ALL Middle School Grades!Every class session will be designed to be engaging, interactive, and challenging. Students will meet as a whole group, but will have small groups for deeper discussion and activity surrounding the lesson. Various prayer experiences will be included with each class.
Parents are urged to consider volunteering in the middle school program as a Middle School Mentor!

Incoming 8th Graders will be preparing for Confirmation this year.
All candidates are required to attend the Confirmation Retreat on September 4, 2024, 5:30-8:30 p.m. Also, the Fall 2025 Retreat, Reconciliation and Rehearsal (dates to be determined)
Confirmation: October 12, 2025 (Fall of 9th Grade Year)
1. Traditional Faith Formation- Attend the yearlong 1 meeting/month model from 7:00-8:30pm - 8 sessions - 9-11, 10-2, 11-6, 12-4, 1-8, 2-5, 3-12, 4-2. (One absence allowed)
2. Cor Christi Institute - Student MUST attend a 1-week session during the Summer of 2025 (2 full week options - Dates TBD) with additional requirements applying to all candidates.
3. Combo - Traditional Faith Formation Class plus Cor Christi Institute.
4. Light of Christ Students - Continue as is for LOC students with 8th grade formation at school plus additional requirements applying to all candidates. Please register separately by clicking on this picture:
5. Distance Learning Requests - for those not choosing traditional, Cor Christi, combo or LOC formation...with additional requirements applying to all candidates. Special fees may apply. ***With All Options - Attendance required at FALL 2025 Final Prep Events - One Day Retreat, Reconciliation Service, and Rehearsal are MANDATORY!
Incoming 9th graders have completed prep for Confirmation for this year and DO NOT need to register for a new class.
- Confirmation will be on October 13, 2024.
- ALL candidates are REQUIRED to attend the FALL CONFIRMATION RETREAT on SEPT 15th (12N-through 5:30pm Mass), Reconciliation and Rehearsal on Oct 6th. (Makeup options will be assigned if an event is missed)
- NO REGISTRATION REQUIRED. They are carried on last year’s roster.
